How to Plan a Bachelor / Bachelorette Party For Friends in Different States?
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008Well this is a tough one. You have the honor of being the best man for your friends wedding and along with that honor comes the obligatory best man speech and bachelor party planning role. So, to plan a bachelor party these days you gather a bunch of emails and you send out a mass email with some plan ideas and see how the friends weigh in on them. But, what do you do if the guests are all located in different parts of the country? Now you have a problem.
One consideration is to have a destination bachelor / bachelorette party. However, this can be awful expensive and not everyone can afford to do so. So what’s next? You can always make the mistake of having the party the night before the wedding. But as old as time this has always lead to disaster. The best solution… Pick a location that is central to all participants. For instance, if some of the guests are located in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Canada, then book a couple of hotel rooms in an area like Boston, which is about equal distance for most of the guest and go out to a ball game, dinner and after hours fun. Any other ideas?
