Planning a Candy Bar Candy Wedding Favor? Some Places to Shop

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

If you’re looking for a unique wedding favor idea, a Candy Bar is a great and elegant way to give candy wedding favors to your guests. A number of Wedding Reception Halls will provide all of the candy for somewhere around $4.00 a head. However, if you do not plan on having just chocolate wedding favors, which are typically more expensive than gummies and jellies (gummy bears, gummy worms, jelly beans, etc), you typically can provide all of the candy yourself for half the price. For instance, you can get 30 pounds of Gummy Peaches for just $83.00, 5 pounds for $16.00, 20 pounds of Gummi Sour Neon Worms for $43.00, 5 pounds of Strawberry Pin Wheels for just $16.00.

A great site to find candy is BulkFoods.com.  Check them out for some great deals.

Brubaker’s First Crazy Wedding Dance – I Like Big Butts

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

Not quite sure why the Brubaker’s first wedding dance was such a hit, while other great wedding dances including the Surprise Breakdance and the Jack Johnson Michael Jackson Surprise First Wedding Dance didn’t even make a splash. But it is what it is, and John Brubaker and Michelle Brubaker have made the spotlight on such shows as the Today Show.  Check out their first dance video.

Wedding Videographer Video Shoot Camera

Everyone says it, but you won’t realize it until it happens. One year of planning and you’re wedding day will pass by in just a matter of hours (visit this post to find out how to make the most of your wedding day). Many couples try to save a few bucks by choosing not to use a Videographer. Although this may sounds like a great idea at first – “how many people actually watch their wedding video after the first year?” – trust me, you’ll regret it. Your wedding day will pass by faster than you can imagine. As the day progresses you’ll take a mental note of each milestone passed, “End of the first dance… wow!”, “The best man just did his toast.. this is moving too fast!”, “Oh boy, we just cut the cake.. ah!”. After that 5 hour reception is over, you’ll want to relive the memories, take things in, and see things that you missed. Do yourself a favor, if you haven’t already hired one, start shopping around for a wedding videographer.
