How to Plan a Best Man Speech for a Wedding
It’s an honor to be the best man for a wedding. But shortly after that honor comes the panic of what to say and how to handle the large crowd. Most of us are not comfortable with speaking in public. However, the more prepared you are, the more comfortable you will be on the wedding day. Here are some pointers in preparing a speech for the bride and groom.

- Don’t get too overwhelmed with structure and etiquette when planning your speech. The more you focus on form, the less you’re going to focus on the message.
- Speak from the heart, let the audience know how you feel about the Bride and Groom and let them see the Bride and Groom as you see them from your eyes.
- Tell stories that portray your perspective of the newlyweds and reenforce your message after you complete the story. So for instance, if you’re telling a story about how dedicated your best friend Tommy is, tell the story that emphasizes his dedication and follow up the story by stating the characteristic of dedication that Tommy possess - Ex. “This is just one story that exemplifies Tommy’s dedication to his [wife? work? passion? desire? you fill it in]“
