Wedding Saving Tip – Choose an Off-Season Wedding Date
Choose an Off-Season Wedding Date
You can save a substantial amount of money on your wedding if you choose an off season date (a month which is not in high demand). The 10 most popular months of the year to get married are:
- August
- June
- July
- September
- October
- May
- April
- November
- March
- February
Knowing that these months are very desirable, venues (reception halls) can charge a premium for these highly demanded months. Don’t buy into the hype, choose an off-season month to save a couple of bucks. If you’re planning on getting married in August, why not push it back to September?

Daniel, there are certain months that are highly desirable wedding months. Some of it depends on the region you live in, but August for instance is a very popular wedding month because it’s the end of the summer – people love the beautiful summer weather but don’t like the heat. So August is perfect as the weather is still great, but not as hot as it may be in July. Did this help?
